Gerard Byrne is pleased to announce he is one of the lucky winners in Gemini Print Group competition. The calendar features three of his contemporary British landscapes paintings. 'The Palace Pier' and 'The Iron Lady' subsequently make a feature of March and November pages, while 'Clifton Gardens' appears on the cover.
All Gemini 2017 calendars showcase artwork from artists participating in ‘Artists Open Houses’ – a festival that runs twice a year in Brighton. The festival provides a unique experience for visitors. One can view an array of work from contemporary local artists and makers in their homes. The event also offers an opportunity to buy work and chat directly with the creators. Gemini Print are the official print sponsor of the festival. They recently ran a competition inviting all artists to submit seasonal images for inclusion in the calendar, with all proceeds going to the Starr Trust charity.
Fundraising manager from Starr Trust – Rosie Molloy comments ‘The Starr Trust supports children aged between 10 and 18 living in the BN post code to help them to fulfil their potential in sport, art and education. We offer grants of up to £5000 per year to help them to achieve their goals at a time when they really need it. Every single penny raised helps us to help the young people who live in our area. For more information please see our website.'
Please make your kind donations to Starr Trust. Than email Alicia (a.condon@gemini-print.co.uk) with your name, address and quantity to arrange delivery for the calendar(s). There's a polite request for a minimum donation of £2 per calendar.
