The Gerard Byrne is delighted to announce that, once again, Gerard's work has been purchased for inclusion in the Government art collection. Members of the Government Art Procurement Division visited the gallery in October - and left with The Palm House - one of Gerard's oils of The Palm House at the National Botanical Gardens in Glasnevin.
Gerard Byrne is well known for his botanical images and is one of the artists included in Patricia Butler's analysis of Irish Botanical Illustrators and Flower Painters.
